Maralim

Maralim is a 100% male hybrid for the harvest of white asparagus in the temperate climate. The variety is particularly suitable for the mid-early harvest in north-western Europe. The variety produces asparagus with the best tip closure in its segment and is hardly susceptible to breakage, hollow stem, pink discoloration and rust. Most of the grading is in the 20 - 28 mm class. The high yield and good sorting translate into more kilos of class 1, resulting in a higher yield per hectare. The variety is perceived by consumers as very tasty. Due to the perfect tip closure, the harvesting time can be changed, while the quality remains the same. Recommended plant density: 5 plants per meter.
